Shannon Novak

Shannon, a graduate from the University of Kansas with a BA in Dance, now resides in Los Angeles where she has built a career in film and television as a performer respected by her peers and industry professionals alike. As a focused and inspired young artist, Shannon began teaching at the age of 14 and soon would avt as a mentor for all of her students. She has been exposed to many styles of classical dance with instructors for the Joffrey Ballet, Donald Byrd's The Group and the Alvin Ailey School. As a professional geared to continuing dance education to the youth of America, Shannon is the co-director and choreographer of Starstruck Performing Arts Center in Lenexa, Kansas as well as the director of Kansas-based Midwest Dance Connection. Novak has choreographed for many studios and dance teams throughout the country including the University of Arizona, the University of Kansas and the University of California at Long Beach. Her choreography has won numerous awards at both regional and national competitions.

Recently, Shannon completed her third season as a member of the Los Angeles Laker Girls. Her television credits include the feature film "A Cinderella Story" and "The Trouble with Ross." In addition, Shannon has toured throughout Italy as a dancer for Adam Parson's Commonality Dance Company. Her national commercial credits include Burger King, AmeriQuest, Coca Cola, Coors Light and Subway. Novak also appeared in NBC's American Dreams, as well as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and the Best Damn Sports Show.
